COOKIE Policy
VE.LA S.p.A. (from this point onwards referred to as "VELA") provides information related to the functioning of cookies on the website veneziaunica.it (from this point onwards referred to as the "Website"), in compliance with the provisions of the measure issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority: "Identification of simplified methods for informing and obtaining consent for the use of cookies", dated May 8 2014 (from this point onwards referred to as the "Measure").
A. What cookies are
Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on a client (the browser). This information can be used during the course of the first visit to a website (session cookies) or at a later date, possibly several days later (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to the User's preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device being used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise the User's device. Cookies have several objectives such as, for instance, enabling the user to navigate efficiently between pages, memorising favourite sites and, in general, improving the browsing experience. Cookies also serve the purpose of guaranteeing that the advertising content displayed online is better targeted to Users and their interests. Depending on their function and purpose, cookies can be classified as technical cookies, profiling cookies and third-party cookies. This Website makes use of technical cookies and third-party cookies.
Depending on the characteristics and use of the cookies, several different categories of cookies exist:
1. Technical cookies.
Technical cookies are defined as cookies used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (refer to Article 122, paragraph 1 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code). They are not used for any additional purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. These cookies include: navigation or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website; analytical cookies, which are similar to technical cookies in that they are used directly by the website operator to collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the website; functional cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided to the User.
The installation of this type of cookie does not require the User's prior consent.
These cookies can be deactivated and/or deleted via the browser settings. All modern browsers allow Users to change their cookie settings. You can usually find these settings in the "options" or "preferences" menu of the User's browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be helpful. Or you can use the "Help" option in your browser for additional information.

Or you can use the "Help" option in your browser for additional information.
If the use of cookies is blocked, the service offered to the User by the Website will be limited and this will affect the User's experience when using the Website.
For each technical cookie used, the following information is provided: its name, its scope of use and its retention period.

2. Third-Party Cookies
While browsing, the User may also receive cookies from different websites or web servers (so-called "third-party" cookies): this takes place because the Site may contain elements such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains located on servers that are different from the one on which the requested page is located. This means that these cookies are directly established by website operators or servers that are not connected to the Website in use. These third parties could theoretically program and establish cookies that are activated when you visit the Website and in this way obtain information about the fact that you have visited a VELA website.
Additional information about the use of cookies is available by following the specific link provided in the table. If the User decides not to authorise the use of third-party cookies, only those functions of the Site, which do not require such cookies, are used.
Targeting cookies: targeting cookies may be linked to services provided by third parties, such as the "like" button on social media or targeted advertising campaigns developed by third parties that provide services in exchange for reporting the User's visit to the corporate website or for remarketing purposes.
Ve.La. S.p.A. uses targeting cookies to establish links with social networks, which may therefore use information about the User's visit to channel advertising messages placed on other sites to the User.
The advertising networks used by the Company may use the information provided to the User about the User's visit and browsing preferences to display advertisements that may be of interest to the User.
The name, scope, name of the third party storing the information and the relevant link to the third party's website are listed below for each third-party cookie that is present on the Website.
