FAT BIKE TOUR AT LIDO DI VENEZIA

Venice is famous for its lagoon, monuments and unique public squares.
From today onwards, you can discover a new Venice, visiting the island of Lido with its 12 km of beaches, and the inimitable, narrow island of Pellestrina, while doing a sporting activity suitable for everyone, and using our breathtakingly unique Fat Bikes.
The Fat Bike is the only bike that allows you to cross wild beaches, sand dunes and the Lido's Liberty-style historic centre, travel along the famous “murazzi” (dyke walls), or visit the island of Pellestrina, where there are fishing villages, colourful hamlets, and enchanting beaches.
Only here can you taste real Venetian cooking, very fresh prime quality fish – from dawn to sunset!
Our instructors will accompany you on a sensational itinerary, between sea and lagoon, on a discovery of Liberty-style buildings, exclusive beaches, and wild beaches … and a breathtaking view of Venice!
Suggested itineraries:
1- Easy tour (2h): easy 15 km excursion, an introduction to discover the island of Lido;
2- Medium tour (3h e 30 min): medium 25 km route covering all the island, for a more complete sensory experience;
3- Sunset tour (4h e 30 min): medium 25 km route covering all the island, for a more complete sensory experience, with the magical atmosphere of sunset on the splendid Lido beaches;
4- Full Day tour (6 h): a tour of approx. 45km, apart from visiting the splendid island of Lido, we'll also go on a discovery tour of the characteristic island of Pellestrina, a peaceful island with fishermen, colourful houses, and a wild beach.
Other useful information:
- for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 people;
- suitable for children from the ages of eight upwards;
- according to laws in force, it is forbidden to rent/hire electric bikes to minors under 15 years of age – only traditional bikes!;
- Meeting point: Venezia Unica main ticket office at Tronchetto;
- During Medium, Sunset and Full Day routes, a stop for lunch/aperitif/pre-dinner drinks is planned (cost is not included);
- Gym shoes are obligatory. A knapsack, bathing costume, towel and change of clothing are advisable for Medium, Sunset and Full Day tours.
The tour will take place in the areas of Lido and Pellestrina islands.
Isola del Tronchetto can be reached – on foot (15 minutes from piazzale Roma); - by vaporetto (Route no. 2); from the mainland by car (ample car parking - supervised, or, on payment - is available).
In case of bad weather, it is possible to contact the instructor and organize another date.

A tour for all the family (children from the age of 8 upwards) along the roads and seafront routes of the Lido.

Average/Medium Fat Bike Route covering all the island of Lido...during the magical atmosphere of sunset on the splendid seaboard Lido beaches.

Itinerary 4 - Full Day Tour (Lido + Pellestrina)
The tour visits the Lido and Pellestrina.
Pellestrina is similar to Lido, being 11 km long, but it is narrower with a minimum width of 23 metres only, and a maximum of 1.2 km.
Pellestrina is separated from the Port of Malamocco (towards the Lido side) and from the port of Chioggia (towards Chioggia – it has historical and cultural ties with Chioggia).
