Carnival Arsenal Nights February 7th-8th and 12th-17th

The Serenissima's evocative dockyards will host the 2nd annual “Arsenal nights” during the 2015 Venetian Carnival.

On the 7th, and 8th of February, and from the 12th to the 17th February, the Arsenal will be robed with magic, theatre, music and a sensational fireworks display on water giving everything a carnival atmosphere.

Each evening from 7.00pm onwards, guests wearing the most beautiful and prized costumes will be received in a spectacular architectural setting with magnificent backdrops organized and mounted in collaboration with La Fenice Opera House .

A completely free program will be introduced by entertainment along the “Riva delle Maravegie”, and food and drink supplied by ciccheterias along the Darsena Grande.

“Il signore del baccalà” is an extraordinarily original theatrical performance with films projected, video-mapping and exciting sound effects, dedicated to the history of the stockfish and the legendary journey of its inadvertent, fifteenth - century discoverer – Piero Quirino. It will be held twice an evening - at 7.30pm, and at 9.30pm, and after both showings there will be a fireworks display on the Arsenal lagoon.

Entertainment continues after the theatrical performance. From 10.00pm onwards - at the “tesa” “Carnival Factory” with the "Molto Tesa" performance and live concert, continuing until 11.15pm; followed by “Arsenale Carnival Experience” with dj-set, music and entertainment.

“TENTAZIONI”, the official dinner-performance of the 2015 Carnival that is subject to an admission charge. Guests will be enthralled with pleasure in the enchanting Torre di Porta Nuova framework, tempted by taste sensations and exciting performances amongst the tables, and purposely distracted by dancing performers and aerial acrobatics.

Guaranteed water shuttle transport to Arsenale Nord leaves from San Zaccaria. The Arsenal can also be reached on foot, using the “Celestia” pedestrian route or ACTV lines 4.1,4.2,5.1,5.2 with Bacini and Celestia stops. Further Informations about public transport
